Hello once again! CyanideBlizzard here, and I’m thrilled to bring to you our second project. Translated by NinetyTwo of Gungnir Heart with any additional work provided by myself, the .90 version of KonoSuba : Fukkatsu no Beldia (KonoSuba : Verdia of the Resurrection).
–MEGA
Like with In the Life!, our goal was to offer a respectful translation that works in tandem with our previous translation. This release is a bit tricky, as it’s not a definitive translation. With the problem being that we, sadly, cannot get into the game and modify the names, quests, descriptions, and a few other things. As a result, those are still in Japanese. We have plans to continue to look into it but since the project has been completed for several months and, despite attempting several times before, we have still had no luck ourselves. As a result, we wanted to present what we’ve done instead of keeping this on the shelf for an indefinite period of time. We couldn’t think of a better time than with the announcement of the movie to celebrate KonoSuba once again.
Keep in mind that this game is playable from start to finish and you are still able to fully enjoy this quirky and short story. Ladybug really outdid themselves with this title, which pays tribute to MegaMan and Metroidvania styled titles as oppose to the old school RPG nature of In the Life!
While there is already a translated version out, this was something we had already planned on covering before the completion of In the Life! and wanted to do no matter what. We also wanted to include a companion piece to make up for what no one has been able to translate in any other release. NinetyTwo has translated every quest and shop description and I threw together a brief PDF with the English listing of those descriptions.
Hello everyone! This is NinetyTwo from Gungnir Heart! It was a real honor to work on not one, but **two**, games for Konosuba. It is amazing that this series went an extra step and made these games for the fans. I am eternally grateful for this and sincerely hope that one day I’ll get a chance to translate another Konosuba game!
Playing the game myself was much more difficult than the first. I’m not entirely good at side scrollers, so it was difficult to handle unless I devote all my time to it as a player, and not a translator. But it was fun nonetheless as I read the story and realized what kind of problems Kazuma was running into. Poor poor Kazuma. He can’t get a break can he?
In any case, I am glad to have worked on this with the great CyanideBlizzard and yuNS yet again! It really is a great accomplishment to work on such big projects along with my own group’s projects. Giving me a great feel of how big and small projects should be handled. I sincerely hope that I can work on another game or the like in the future!
That’s all from me! If you have any questions or the like, you know where to contact me! Have fun y’all and keep on the support for Konosuba!
As our second project, and being significantly smaller than In the Life!, I’m confident you’ll see a great deal of improvement from our previous translation. Should you happen upon any issues or problems, please do not hesitate and reach out!
We sincerely hope that you’ll enjoy this quirky and fantastic little title that has a ton of charm! A big special thanks to yuNS for their behind the scenes additional advice provided.
Many happy explosions to you all!
EDIT : My sincerest apologies. For some reason, during the testing phase I had disabled comments when I had this page up as filler and entirely spaced on re-enabling them once available. Comments are now possible.
Oh, since nobody could respond before, I will just leave something here, so that it’s not empty.
Thank you! You guys deserve it!
